International Biomass Conference
On 2 and 3 November 2011 RWE and Essent hosted the International Biomass Conference. Experts from across the globe participated in this conference. It was held at the Amer power plant in Geertruidenberg, Europe’s largest biomass co-fired power plant. The first day ‘Biomass for electricity generation’ was the main theme. The second day focused on the bio-based economy.

In 2009 the first International Biomass Conference was held. Under the title ‘Mastering Biomass’, the future of co-firing and gasification of biomass, both in terms of policy and practice, received extensive attention.
