Unbundling of Essent completed
Arnhem, 1 July 2009 – From today Essent has also been legally split into a commercial production and supply business (Essent) and an independent network company (Enexis). Essent’s network division will now operate entirely independently under the name of Enexis Holding N.V.
The unbundling of Essent implements a decision of the General Shareholders’ Meeting held on 27 May 2009.
The legally required separation of Essent’s network activities from its commercial energy activities is now therefore complete. Essent’s network activities had already been split off for operational purposes under the name Enexis as from 1 January 2009.
