Marc van 't Noordende, member of the Executive Board, is leaving Essent

Arnhem, 6 February 2008 - Essent N.V. has announced that, after due consultation with the Supervisory Board, Marc van 't Noordende, member of the Executive Board, is to stand down as of 1 April 2008.

He has been a member of Essent's Executive Board since 2002.

The Supervisory Board is very grateful to Marc van 't Noordende for the successful way in which he has helped to run the company in the past 6 years.

In anticipation of separating off the network company at Essent the position on the Executive Board which now falls vacant will not be filled.

In pursuance of the Independent Network Management Act the operations and joint supporting services of Essent's head office and the network company will no longer be connected. This separation of ownership must have been put into effect by 1 January 2011 at the latest.

As of 1 April 2008 the Executive Board of Essent N.V. will consist of Michiel Boersma (Chairman and CEO) and Rinse de Jong (CFO).
