Arjan Blok succeeds Rinse de Jong on Executive Board

From 1 May 2010, Arjan Blok (42) will become Essent's new Chief Financial Officer. In this he succeeds Rinse de Jong (61), who will be stepping down as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Board of Essent N.V. on 30 April 2010.

Arjan Blok has worked for Essent since 2004, initially being in charge of the financial processes of Essent Trading, and for the past two years as Director of Corporate Finance & Control. As well as concentrating on Finance, which includes Reporting, Control, Treasury and Tax, Arjan Blok will be responsible for Risk Management and the Essent Support Group within the Executive Board.

Essent is deeply grateful to Rinse de Jong for his exceptional contribution to the company. During his nigh on eight years as CFO he has raised the standard of Essent's financial housekeeping to an extremely high level. In addition to this he has played a significant role in many transformational processes, including the divestment of the grid company and the environmental company as well as RWE's takeover of Essent.
