Essent is putting more energy into energy. We therefore sponsor institutions and activities that give you energy. Examples include museums, surprising summer festivals and, last not but least, ice-skating. As a socially responsible energy supplier, we are also the main sponsors of the IMC Weekend Schools in Tilburg and Groningen.

IMC Weekend School
The IMC Weekend School is a school providing supplementary education for 10- to 14-year old youth from socially disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Essent has associated itself with this friendly initiative because it not only fits our vision on Corporate Social Responsibility, but also offers Essent the opportunity to introduce young people to the world of energy and technology.

Close the Gap
Being aware of the fact that the production of energy and the trade in fuel are processes with a global impact, our involvement goes beyond national borders. We therefore actively participate in Close the Gap, a project aimed to ensure that our obsolete, yet fully functional computers and accessories are shipped to various African countries for use in schools and offices.
Ice-skating
Essent sponsors long-distance ice-skating, a typically Dutch type of sports with an open character. Optimal use of energy combined with a healthy fighting spirit is essential in ice-skating. These features precisely fit Essent’s philosophy of striving to achieve the best results together with its customers. Essent therefore sponsors a large number of ice-skating events. We also put our energy expertise to use in ice-skating.
